We were picked up by Emilia's father at 2AM at the bus station {it kinda just looked like a gas station} and when we got into the car the song "Gloria" was playing......but in Polish--So I proceeded to sing it in English. We talked a bit in the car, but when we arrived to their home, we talked...or I should say Emilia received her translator badge, as we talked to her parents until 4AM. Then time to wake at 8ish and get ready for Mass {where Emilia's mom already had food out....this is a recurring event!}. We went to Mass where there were kids dressed in the native Polish dress with their special Palm Sunday Palm things....they were flowers with various colourful items attached about them. {in photo section} We then went on a tour of her home area and back for lunch, then off to Łódź!

It was a great time in Poland and was a very good experience. While seeing the cities was definitely fun, I have to say that staying with a Polish family was the best experience I could have had. From her grandparents who had never met an American before, her parents who were super super nice, and her brother who was in the same Mechanical Engineering program as Brian and I, all taught us a bit more about Polish people through word, actions, and Brian's favorite, food.
