Adventures!
I got to Iceland about 1600 ish and got a bus ride to my hostel I was staying at and went to the room {mind you, this was with all my luggage} and picked out a bed. It was here I met the people I would hang with for the next 48 hours. I met Micky, a guy who was going to start a bike ride of the island the next day, and when he got back, hand in his Doctoral Thesis! There was also Nicole, Canadian who was beginning her 40 day trip of Europe, Zara, English who had been working a music festival, Max, Canadian {? I believe so}, Jesse, German who had been in New Zealand and nannied in the USA for a year, and going back home after 3.5 years. There were also some guys from the USA the second night who were going off to hike, and some other passer throughs that I managed to talk to, because that's what I do. That first night I got settled and found food {very important!} that I could eat, talked with the people in the hostel and we went to a different hostel and listened to some live music {which was a very interesting take on jazz}. I then went out with the German girl Jesse to explore the town. It was very confusing though, for it was always greyish, so we stayed out until 0100am, and somehow she was very good and stealing my camera and getting some interesting photos, which you will soon enjoy.

Wednesday
Iceland
Reykjavik
Being me, I don't do well with being stuck in one place. So I found a way to make use of my time in Iceland, and did something super safe......and climbed a mountain. I tried convincing the English girl to go with me, but she said no {which is a good thing, as you will see}, no I went by myself.
Once I was getting off the bus, I ending up walking next to a guy, and we introduced ourselves, and ended up hiking the whole way up {and down} together! He was a danish guy who had been studying in Canada and just finished his tour of the USA, and I just finished in Sweden with my tour of Europe back to the USA, so we were almost switching {but in neighboring countries}. We had a lot of fun and I learned a lot, including what Greenland really is.
Back to the story! We were hiking up this path, and started to get into a cloud about half way to two-thirds way up, we thought this would not be an issue,so we continued. We ended up being inside a cloud {could see about 12m...if lucky}, but this cloud was raining and blowing. Not many people can say they were inside a cloud forming rain! We made it up to the top of this peak at 991m though! We signed the guess book, and started our way down. On the way down we met one of the oddest guys ever, he greeted Rasmus and I as 'ladies' and asked us where our bikinis were, for he was the hero of this story. He continued on his way, and we continued to be confused, so went down. This downward march brought us to the bus, that we had to wait an hour for, so we got to talk a bit more, then went on the bus when it arrived {after doing hand talked with the first driver}. We ended up in the wrong station and I we got on different buses and I left with the trashiest of byes {wave}. So if you are reading this Rasmus, cya man!

That night Nicole, Jesse, and I went to Cake Loki and tried some Icelandic food. Nicole had a shot {of something that smelled like bad wodka}, shark, and dried fish, Jesse, soup like I. It was a good experience, and we had fun talking. We ended up keeping them open and hour later then they were supposed to {oops!} and headed on back to our hostel, and we par took of some Icelandic ice cream I got. {I have a magic ability to get people to eat things ;P}.

I went up in the tower of the church before I left for the airport:
Thursday
Iceland - Airport
I had a bit of time before I had to go to the airport on Thursday, so I did a bit more exploring and picture taking. But then it was time to leave {I quite started to like it}, but everyone else I had met had left much earlier that morning, so it wasn't so bad. Got in the airplane and settled for my six hour flight {at the window!!} and another kid was at the aisle. He turned to me and introduced himself, next time I know, we had talked for 3 hours straight about history, travel, band, movies. It was very cool to meet someone on the plane and be able to easily talk so long, and he was only a bit away from my home, so I made a friend on the plane ride home, thanks Jordan.
Then I made it, with my mom holding a sign for me once I got through customs {who looked at me, asked about drugs and alcohol, and proceeded not to care about me, I like my super power of being uninteresting!} and we went home! to where I slept! yay!
But I still miss all the friends I made in Sweden and in my travels. One day though, I shall see you all again!
do widzenia! Goodbye!
blog ya some interesting travel things later!
{and pictures!}
