Almost there!!

There's something here I haven't seen before.

While we were doing our fantastic Copenhagen journey last night I did take a picture.
Only a bit rainy!

Waking in the hostel.....at 3AM, and eventually again at 6:40AM was only slightly confusing.  I'm not sure if it's all hostels, or just this one, but someone is always making noise in some direction.  When we were down stairs checking in the night before, it was definitely bustling!  When I woke up I went back down, and it was the opposite.
The night was a little like this.....but with people.
There were so many people here at night that Brian and I could barely move our luggage, and when I came down to use the wi-fi, I was sitting on those red stairs because it was the only room left!

The counter where some were partaking in expensive liquids.
Brian and I both packed up all our luggage, and then went out to take pictures of all the cool things we saw the night before!  Including this;

Can you guess where this is?

He puzzled, and puzzled, and still had no idea where he was.

A bit more of the building to help you out.
Go on!  Try finding what this building is!
On to the rest of our Copenhagen rambles!  We found a lot of really cool things while just walking around.  Here are a few:

Cool sight, with an interesting message...
The message!

Tivoli Gardens
"Tivoli Gardens (or simply Tivoli) is a famous amusement park and pleasure garden in CopenhagenDenmark. The park opened on August 15, 1843 and is the second oldest amusement park in the world, afterDyrehavsbakken in nearby Klampenborg.
With 4.033 million visitors in 2012,[3] Tivoli is the second most popular seasonal theme park in the world, the most visited theme park in Scandinavia and the fourth most visited in Europe, only behind Disneyland ParisEuropa-Park Rust and the Efteling."

Thanks Wikipedia!  Also Brian was telling me that this is where Walt Disney got his idea for an amusement park.

Same photo, a lesson in changing the exposure of your camera.
Gate way to Tivoli Gardens.

The train station we would soon be at!

Really fancy patterns!

This is very confusing--do you see it?

A bit of home!

They really like bikes.

Celsius!  I haven't got the nack for it quite yet...
After our sight seeing tour (we are getting really good at that walking thing!), we went back to the hostel and checked out and left for the train station.
Our hostel.
HI, BILLY MAYS HERE WITH ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT; THE ALL IN ONE ROOM!
YOU THINK IT'S TO MUCH TO HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE SHOWER TO GO TO THE FACILITIES?  WELL, WE ARE INTRODUCING THE BATHROOM ALL IN ONE DEAL!   YOU CAN DO IN ALL FROM ONE FOOT POSITION, JUST SIT OR STAND!
If you ever wanted to do it all at once, this is the room for you!
Little odd, but the opportunity to use Billy Mays was there....so I took it.

Brian showing us the room.
I will do the train ride to Sweden, my housing, and the answer to the *Where's Jonathan? game in a later blog.  For this one I am just going to say some observations I have seen so far.
  • Most people are very willing to help, even when they don't really know themselves.
  • There is A LOT of smokers here.  It is not allowed in most buildings, but right outside the doors there are always quite a few.  I saw this the most in Denmark, not sure about Sweden yet.
  • Bikes.  Lots and lots of bikes.  This seems to be the way to get to work.  Their bikes seem to also all have wheel covers and almost all have chain covers.
  • Small beds, and they seem to use two straight sheets instead of a fitted sheet.
  • It is a bit more difficult finding roads, in Germany the signs were just at bad angles, but in Denmark they were just posted on buildings!  They were very difficult to find!
  • English seems to be the common language of everyone, so I have been very lucky!
  • In Copenhagen you can go from very nice area to quite, .....interesting, areas very quickly.
  • Sun up is at 10AM....and Sun down at 3PM
Well, this is Jonathan signing off.  In today's plan, get food, go to IKEA, and hope more people come to my building so I can meet them!  Blog ya later!
